Two adaptive riding cars going for their first ride with their happy owner at Maricopa Live Steamers.

The adaptive riding car design reflects our desire to produce rail cars that offer versatility and flexibility. The base car can be built as a five, six, seven, or eight foot version. The car is designed to be used with Tom Bee trucks and couplers, and are ready for air brake installation. Built from 1/4 inch steel, the sides and deck create a strong, stable car that will deliver years of reliable service.

The adaptive car is designed to allow different modules to be used to create different uses for the car. Comfortable seats mounted on modular bases can be positioned and re-positioned on the car as needed to accommodate riders. Various table modules allow for a table to be placed between two seats (club seating style) or to create a working surface for a conductor or brakeman to work/write on during operational movements.

A bulkhead option to create a bulkhead flatcar creates a different appearance for the adaptive riding car. The bulkhead module can be added/removed from the car at anytime to change the appearance of the car.
