The TP56 switcher is an industrial switcher built by Curry Rail Systems in Pennsylvania. It is a small, powerful, versatile locomotive that is able to work in small spaces and move large rail cars with ease.

RailPup Design’s version of the TP56 switcher takes those aspects and brings them to the large scale railroading world. The all steel construction ensures that the locomotive will last for a lifetime of fun and more. Two powerful motors drive the locomotive via a double reduction drive system which translates into pulling power. Utilizing a Dimensions Engineering Sabertooth 2×60 amp regenerative dual motor driver, the control system ensures a smooth and even power delivery to both motors. The entire drive system utilizes a solid state design, controlling all aspects of the locomotive such as direction, speed, lighting, and horn/bell from a single control board. With a built in battery charger/tender, you can easily recharge your batteries after a day of running, and rest assured that you batteries will be ready for you when you return.
